Needle Roller Bearings
The outer ring with large load carrying capacity of drawn cup needle roller bearing is formed by punching the thin steel plate. It is suitable for small section height, or when the housing bore isn't used for raceway, this type is recommended to use. The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without further axial orientation.
Usually this type needn't use inner ring, but if needed, you can obtain some information form this catalogue. In contract to the drawn cup needle roller bearing with open end, the bearing with one closed end has good sealing properties. Unsealed drawn cup needle roller bearing is available for temperature between -20℃ and +120℃ with high quality lithium base grease.

2. Inspection
The dim tensional accuracy of drawn cup needle roller bearings can't be measured before fitting, as the thin walled outer ring will be out of round during manufacturing process.
The bearings obtain the accuracy only when pressed into a housing bore with the recommended tolerance limits.
The inscribed circle's diameter(Fw) can be checked as follows:
Press the bearing into a normal ring and inspect the minimum deviation of inner diameter with cylindrical limiting gauge.
The inspection dimensions of drawn cup needle roller are given in Table 1.
The dimensions and tolerance of a normal ring are given in Table 2
Dimensions of gauge are listed in Table 3.

3. Suitable Tolerance and Fitting
3.1 Tolerance
Only when drawn cup needle roller bearings are pressed into the housing bore,the final dimension and outer ring.The housing bore and geometrical precision determine the inscribed circle's dimension meets with the requirements of Table 4 and the inscribed circle's diameter of needle roller will conform to tolerance of F8.If is suitable for the shaft tolerance,the desired operation clearance will be obtained.

3.2 Fitting
Drawn cup needle roller bearing should be pressed into the housing bore with the aid of a titting mandrel. The shoulder of fitting mandrel should preferably next against the side face which has the bearing designation mark on it. As O-ring is situated in a groove on the mandrel and serves to hold the bearing after it has been pushed onto the mandrel. Drawn cup needle roller bearings may not be tilted during mounting. |
